Language is more than a means of communication—it carries history, culture, identity, and knowledge. Tibetan is one of the world's oldest living literary languages and remains central to the cultural and spiritual life of millions of Tibetans. We call upon governments, educational institutions, international organizations, and policymakers to support and protect the right of Tibetan communities to learn, use, and preserve their language in education, public life, and cultural expression.
Tibet's rivers are among the most important freshwater sources on Earth. Flowing from the Tibetan Plateau, they provide water to nearly two billion people across Asia. These rivers support biodiversity, agriculture, livelihoods, and cultural heritage. We call upon governments, international organizations, environmental institutions, and all stakeholders to prioritize the protection of Tibet's rivers by ensuring sustainable management, environmental transparency, and respect for the ecological importance of the Tibetan Plateau.
